ClipShelf is designed to keep your saved text on your device. This policy explains what the extension handles and why.

Information ClipShelf handles
When you highlight or copy text on a webpage, ClipShelf stores that selected text along with the page title, page URL, and time of capture. This information is necessary to provide the extension’s saved-highlight history and source links.
Local storage
Saved highlights are stored using Chrome’s local extension storage on your device. ClipShelf does not operate a remote server and does not transmit saved highlights to the developer or any third party.
Data collection and sharing
ClipShelf does not collect personal information, browsing history, analytics, advertising identifiers, or usage telemetry. It does not sell, rent, or share user data.
Permissions
The storage permission saves your highlights locally. Page access lets ClipShelf detect text that you intentionally select. The side panel permission displays your saved history in Chrome’s side panel.
Data control and deletion
You can delete individual highlights or choose “Clear all” in the side panel. Uninstalling ClipShelf also removes its locally stored extension data according to Chrome’s behavior.
Children’s privacy
ClipShelf does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If the extension’s data practices change, this policy will be updated before the changed version is published.
